Mission

The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis promises to be the most beautiful and technologically advanced chess club in the nation. It is a new destination for chess players, both beginning and advanced, to enjoy a game of skill more than 1500 years old. Our goals are to elevate the game of chess throughout the Saint Louis community and to introduce chess to thousands of Saint Louis’ children and adults. Recognizing the cognitive and behavioral benefits of chess, The Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis is committed to supporting those chess programs that already exist in area schools, while encouraging the development of new programs within regular school curricula.
